The effects of cooling applications on tool life, surface quality, cutting forces, and cutting zone temperature in turning of Ni-based Inconel 625

Due to their high-temperature resistance, nickel-based super alloys are used in many fields, especially the aviation and aerospace industries. In addition these advantages, there some machining difficulties. Some cooling methods minimize difficulties of materials. For this purpose, study, tool life, wear, surface roughness (Ra), cutting forces (Fc), zone temperature (T) were investigated turning Inconel 625 under different conditions. Experiments carried out three conditions (dry, minimum quantity lubrication [MQL], vortex methods). Three feed rates (0.08, 0.1, 0.12 mm/rev) speeds (60, 80, 100 m/min) used. Tool wear tests conducted at average speed rate (80 m/min 0.1 mm/rev). After experiments, it was found that application positively affects terms temperature, roughness. The lowest occurred as 0.136 mm experiments with MQL. best values for forces, roughness, temperatures also obtained
